Report: Alessandro Gentile Wants to Join the Houston Rockets

By Taylor Pate on June 21, 2016

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo's The Vertical, Euroleague's Alessandro Gentile wants to play for Mike D'Antoni and the Houston Rockets.

Gentile's draft rights were acquired in 2014 from the Minnesota Timberwolves for cash considerations. The shooting guard/small forward has tallied over 13 points per game the last two seasons, though he has been below average from the 3-point line. Known for being a creator, Gentile is crafty and and can handle the ball well enough to get into the paint successfully.

It was reported back in October of 2015 that the Rockets planned to bring Gentile over in 2016, and now the two seem destined to make a deal happen. With Dwight Howard opting out of his contract, the Rockets have plenty of cap space to give the wing a large enough contract to lure him away.
